We will be combining our RPCVs with DC Rotary Club for a joint service activity.\n \n We Are Family serves seniors in the Shaw\, North Capitol Street\, Adams-Morgan\, Petworth\, and Columbia Heights neighborhoods. The organization bring advocacy\, services\, organizing\, and companionship into the homes of the elderly\, while helping to build friendships across boundaries like race\, class\, religion\, age\, culture\, and sexual orientation. The website mentions that "More than simply a social service project\, We Are Family is an experiment in building just\, caring\, and inclusive community."\n \n We will meet at the Kelsey Apartments\, 3322 14th Street NW (1 block north of the Columbia Heights metro) at 9:45 am.     \n      Cars are not necessary\, just comfortable shoes! (although if you do have a car\, please bring it!)\n   \n   We will be doing a post-grocery delivery Happy Hour at Meridian Pint after the event.
