JFK Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony
November 20 @ 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

In 1984, a handful of RPCVs, accompanied by Sargent Shriver, gathered at Arlington Cemetery to dwell on President Kennedy’s legacy and lay a wreath at his Eternal Flame. That simple ceremony became a tradition that we honor every year around the time of his birth. We will begin at the Visitor Center, where we will gather and invite participants to share their thoughts on his vision of the Peace Corps and its role in global affairs. We will then proceed to his gravesite, display a wreath in his honor and invite the group to pause for quiet reflection. Parking is available and location is metro accesible.
Happy hour at Continental Pool Lounge to follow.
