Urban Tree Identification Walk – Fall Edition

Want to be able to tell a red oak from a white oak? Curious why some trees turn fiery red while others go for gold?
Master Naturalist & RPCV Belize Rob Landolfi returns for an interactive guided walk through neighborhoods, learning how to identify trees from their bark, leaves, shape, and more! If you joined us for the Earth Day walk in April, we will check out some of the same trees and how they change with the season.
The all-ages 90-minute walk will be about 1.5 miles on mostly flat, paved surfaces. Well-behaved dogs and costumes welcome!
Meet at the NoMa metro station, Florida Ave exit. Look for us by the maple leaf sculpture.
We’ll end with an optional social event at Lost Generation Brewing Company (327 S St NE). In addition to award-winning beers, Lost Generation has non-alcoholic beverages and snacks, plus the resident Silver & Sons Barbecue food truck.
